Privacy policy
Last updated August 2026
This policy explains what the File Clarity collects and how it is used. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. Operators deploying this application should adapt it to their jurisdiction and business before relying on it.
Information you provide
We collect the account details you supply when you register (such as your email address) and the documents and project details you upload. Documents may contain personal and financial information; you decide what to upload.
How documents are used
Uploaded documents are processed to classify them and extract metadata (such as document type, date, institution, and amounts) so you can review, organize, and package them. Processing uses an automated model accessed through a server-side gateway. Documents are not sold, and they are not used to advertise to you.
Storage and access
Documents are held in private, per-account storage and protected by row-level security so that only your account can access your records. Download links are signed and short-lived. See the Security & privacy page for details.
Logging
Operational logs are kept to run and troubleshoot the service. Logs are written to avoid recording document text, full account numbers, personal identifiers, secrets, or access tokens.
Retention and deletion
You control retention. You can delete individual documents, whole projects, or your account at any time. Deleting removes the associated database records and stored files. Export packages are retained temporarily and can be regenerated; their links expire automatically.
Third-party processors
The application relies on infrastructure providers for authentication, database, storage, hosting, and automated document analysis. These processors handle data on our behalf to deliver the service.
